Roles and Responsibilities

Co-Chairs

The Co-Chairs will oversee the overall planning, ensure all activities align with PRW’s code of conduct, and uphold the event's legacy. They will guide the team, address challenges, and ensure smooth execution. Co-chairs are required to organize and attend monthly planning calls, providing critical direction and maintaining focus on PRW's shared vision.

Steering Committee Members

The Steering Committee includes everyone who would like to be informed about the progress of PRW initiatives, support the organization, and contribute to the discussion.

Supporting Organizations

PRW supporters can be organizations within the scholarly communications ecosystem or individuals interested in peer review. We hope that you 'like' and 'share' initiatives and posts from PRW social media channels, include them in your organization’s newsletter, and attend/promote events that you are interested in.

Are You Interested in Getting Involved in the Future?

The Steering Committee meets once per month to discuss PRW plans and allocate the next steps among the Committee members. If you are interested in taking an active role in PRW in the future, email the Steering Committee at contactprweek@gmail.com to be notified of upcoming events, meetings, and ways to get involved, such as:

  • Joining the Steering Committee: We are always happy to welcome new members onto the Steering Committee. If you would like to take part in shaping the organization of PRW, we would love to have you on board. The time commitment is 1hr/week for the period of preparation leading up to PRW each year.

  • Supporting Peer Review Week Activities: You can support PRW by contributing to specific events or projects, according to your interest and availability. This might include organizing an event, contributing a blog post, or working with one of the teams updating specific resources and materials. We share contributions via the PRW website.

  • Helping Us Spread the Word: You can also support us by sharing updates about PRW through your own channels in the weeks leading up to the event, as well as during the week itself.

Please include a short paragraph on how you would like to volunteer and an outline of your relevant experience. Once you reach out, a member of the Committee will get in touch.
